So... this is me! Never did I believe that I would be writing a blog or even have a bald head, but as you can see from the picture, I rocked a baldy.

Back in September 2016 at the age of 28, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. I underwent extensive 6 months of chemotherapy, surgery to remove my left breast where the cancer was and 15 rounds of radiotherapy. I am very grateful that they caught the cancer early and I can now say I am cancer FREE!

Having to go through such a traumatic time and have my daughter and husband see me at my worst, certainly put things in perspective. I want to share this with others and show you can be positive when faced with adversity.

Before this huge life event, I also had a to concur a lot of grief. I lost both my parents within 9 days of each other. Both their deaths were  caused by completely different illnesses. My mum passed away 4 days before my 18th and my dad passed away 5 days after my 18th birthday.

I truly believe having to deal with this loss, made me the strong woman I am today. It helped me build a strong, positive outlook,  whilst battling the horrible disease.

I also have a gift for making people laugh, but this is not with me but at me and the things I say. I will dedicate this blog to inspiring women and making people laugh.

After all, life is for living!

Much love,

xx Lucy xx
